Mired in doping scandal, Russia awaits Rio verdict

On Friday June 17, the International Athletics Federation will decide if Russian athletes can take part in the Rio Olympics in August. Russia is at the centre of the world's largest-ever doping scandal, with politicians, coaches and athletes accused of involvement in falsifying samples and blackmailing sportsmen. A number of reforms have been introduced in Russia since the scandal broke. But will they be enough to allow the country's athletes to go for gold? Our correspondents report.
