China has no historic rights on rock outcroppings in the South China Sea. That's the decision of an international tribunal that's ruled in favour of the Philippines. Ahead of the announcement, Beijing was already calling the process a "farce". So will China abide or keep on patrolling waters that are 120 kilometres from the Philippines' shores? It's also a chance to weigh up how China sees itself on the world stage. Will it be more or less muscle-flexing now that its economy has cooled?
