The day has come. After upsetting the form and blowing away the competition, Donald Trump is officially the Republican nominee for president. So why is it that despite record turnout in the primaries and an easy win, it's been something of a fractious coronation in Cleveland? Is Trump out of touch or in tune when he targets disenfranchised working class white voters who are less bothered about social issues and the size of government, but fired up about immigration, globalization and security?
