Showdown in Gabon: Bongo dynasty under pressure amid post-election unrest (part 2)

Another African dynasty hangs in the balance. Gabon has been a father and son-run operation since 1967, but now Ali Bongo is having to fend off riots in the streets and an international community that's incredulous after his electoral commission gave him the Soviet-style numbers he needed in his home province to edge his rival in a one-round presidential election. Will Paris - with its military base in Libreville and its 10,000 expatriates - intervene or stay out of it?
