DR Congo: Constitutional Court approves delay to presidential elections

In tonight’s edition: in DR Congo, a deal struck between some opposition groups and the ruling party sees a new date set for the presidential elections in April 2018, over a year after incumbent Joseph Kabila is supposed to have stepped down. In Somalia, several soldiers and at least two al-Shabaab fighters are killed in a day of clashes near Mogadishu. And fighting between rival Tuareg armed groups in Kidal, in Mali's northern desert, is undermining an 18-month old peace deal.
