Mother Nature is again putting Italians to the test: there were fortunately no fatalities in a lighter repeat of August's deadly earthquake, but plenty of damage to attend to. Meanwhile Italy's Prime Minister Matteo Renzi is fighting to pass a referendum to shake up institutions. As Italy heaves under a perpetual mountain of debt and low growth, how do you make the state part of the solution? After Brexit, what would a rejection of this referendum mean, both for Italy and for Europe?
