'The Wire' and 'Treme' star Wendell Pierce on the healing power of art

Wendell Pierce, the actor best known for his roles in the cult series "The Wire" and "Treme" has put pen to paper for his memoir "The Wind in the Reeds"; recently released in France under the title "Le Vent dans les Roseaux". The book is a powerful, moving exploration of Pierce’s family history, the unique, vibrant culture of his beloved hometown of New Orleans and the healing power of art during the city's darkest hour.
