Austrian farmers turn nature's challenges into advantages

Nestled in the eastern Alps, some 60% of Austria's countryside is mountainous and almost 90% of farms are found along its slopes. This leads to natural and specific constraints for farmers. The latest Common Agricultural Policy has provisions for people trying to exploit such difficult terrain.
