Ukraine’s ex-prime minister: ‘Ukraine protects EU borders’

Three years have passed since the so-called Maidan protests in Ukraine – a period which saw the country rapidly divide itself on the issue of whether to strengthen its ties with the EU or rather with its eastern neighbor, Russia, and which ultimately led to widespread unrest and Moscow’s annexation of Crimea. But Ukraine has other issues to deal with too, including corruption. The country’s former prime minister Arseny Yatseniuk speaks with us about Ukraine’s challenges.
