It's something the far-right and jihadists have in common: a craving for an all-out clash of civilizations. The motive of the gunman who shot up the Grand Mosque in Quebec City has yet to revealed but already social media is alight with speculation. The attack came after a weekend of protests south of the border against President Trump's temporary immigration ban. Can Justin Trudeau's pro-refugee policy hold firm in the face of build-a-wall politics taking hold on both sides of the Atlantic?
