Tunisia and Germany strike new migrant deal

German Chancellor Angela Merkel reaches a new accord with Tunisia, aimed at reducing illegal migration. Germany says Tunisia's bureaucratic red tape prevented it from expelling Islamic State group supporter Anis Amri, who attacked a Berlin Christmas market last year, killing 12 people.


Also, in Nigeria's Cross River State, authorities are busy clearing part of the rainforest to build a 14-lane highway, despite a court injunction. The project has sparked anger among environmentalists and local communities.

And Ivory Coast's best-loved Cartoon Fair is to make a comeback later this month. As a symbol of resistance, 'CocoBulles' will take place in Grand Bassam, the town where 19 people were killed in a terror attack last year.
