Boko Haram refugees: Niger's 'silent humanitarian crisis'

The humanitarian situation on the Niger - Nigeria border is one of the nine most neglected crises worldwide. Hundreds of thousands of people are displaced after fleeing the war against Boko Haram. But the threat from terrorists is ever-present, as they often manage to infiltrate within the local population. Nigerian authorities have come up with a new strategy to fight this war against extremism - amnesty for Nigerian jihadi fighters to incite them to desert.
