Fighting terrorism: What can the UN do?

The UN says 40 to 50% of some 30,000 foreign fighters have already left territories controlled by the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria. Several European countries estimate that the rate of fighters returning from conflict zones has increased by a third over the past year. Jean-Paul Laborde, Executive Director of the UN Counter-Terrorism Committee, tells us more about the UN's strategy to tackle terrorism worldwide.
