La Mostra has kicked off in Venice, as stars disembark at the world’s oldest film festival. In addition to the hotly-awaited Hollywood features, social issues are also on the bill. Chinese artist Ai Weiwei is presenting his documentary "Human Flow", a meditation on the global refugee crisis that he filmed in 23 different countries.
We also take a look at the small screen phenomenon that’s become a boon for tourism. "Game of Thrones" fans are flocking to the locations where the series was filmed; the latest site is Northern Ireland.
And a retrospective here in Paris takes us inside the eye of a singular photographer: Ed van der Elsken’s shots highlight the poetry and romance in everyday moments, while bringing a fresh perspective to the streets of 1960s Paris.
