Vaccinations: Separating fact from fiction

This week we’re examining a new French government initiative, which is set to see the policy of immunisation tightened. France is making it a legal requirement for parents to have their children vaccinated against 11 different illnesses. That's eight more vaccines than the current mandatory jabs against diphtheria, tetanus and polio. As things stand right now, around 70% of small children are already vaccinated against all those diseases. But not everyone is convinced of the need.
