France's controversial anti-terrorism law comes into force

France's state of emergency is no more. President Emmanuel Macron defends his country's controversial new anti-terrorism law before the European Court of Human Rights. Also, it's second time lucky for Les Républicains: after a first round of voting was invalidated, five pro-Macron members have now been expelled from the centre-right opposition party. Plus, France's far-left leader Jean-Luc Mélenchon makes a surprising admission of defeat: he is giving up on opposing Macron’s labour reforms.
