Building peace in the Middle East through social and economic projects
We're joined in the studio by Huda Abuarqoub, who's the regional director of the Alliance for Middle East Peace. It works with a network of some 110 organisations that promote grassroots peace-building initiatives in Israel and the Palestinian territories. Huda Abuarqoub is one of the organisers behind a recent historic women's march in Israel and the West Bank. She tells us more about the Alliance's initiatives.
Also, he's just 32 years old and he's risen from near-obscurity. But Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has reportedly started to reform the conservative kingdom's religious structures. He's also at the helm of an anti-corruption probe that has purged Saudi Arabian royals. Analysts say this is a bid for the young prince to consolidate his power.
And over in Lebanon, where Beirut Fashion Week has just wrapped up, our reporters meet a new generation of designers who are changing the face of the industry, with trends ranging from bling to state-of-the-art. Some are even creating dresses for men.
