Somalia's Shabaab kill 18 policemen in academy bombing

At least 18 people are dead in Mogadishu after a suicide bomber detonated his explosive vest. The victims were all policemen in training. Al Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack. Meanwhile, 11 militia members in the DR Congo are sentenced to life in prison for raping underaged girls. Finally, in Sierra Leone, a government programme allows pregnant girls to continue their education. But critics say the scheme isn’t working.
