Zuma under pressure: ANC chief expects speedy resolution to talks on transition

In tonight's edition: the ANC's leader expects a speedy resolution to talks on a transition in South Africa; thousands of African asylum seekers protest outside the Rwandan embassy in Israel; and almost 1,000 medical interns call a strike in Uganda over unpaid salaries and working conditions.

South Africa’s deputy president says that tough talks are underway about President Jacob Zuma's future and that a speedy resolution is imminent.

Also, thousands of African asylum seekers protest outside the Rwandan embassy in Israel, calling on the African country to push back against Israeli plans to deport them or send them to jail.

And almost one thousand medical interns have called a strike in Uganda over unpaid salaries and working conditions. It comes just over a month after a doctors' strike in the country paralyzed the medical system.
