Head of Libya's High Council of State: Paris meeting was 'not a crucial step'

Rival Libyan factions met in Paris last week for talks, where they agreed to hold parliamentary and presidential elections on December 10. President Emmanuel Macron described the meeting as "historic". Khaled al-Mechri is the President of Libya's High Council of State, which is based in Tripoli. He called the Paris meeting "an important step regarding Libyan dialogue" but "not a crucial step", as "certain important and crucial topics were put aside".
