SNCF strike: 'Rail workers are defending their social rights'

For two days every week for the past three months, many trains across France have been delayed or cancelled, as staff from the state-run operator SNCF go on strike. Rail workers, known collectively as "les cheminots", are enraged by President Macron's grand plan to get the debt-ridden company back on track by tweaking their rather special employment terms and status. In Perspective, we were joined by philosopher Etienne Balibar. He gave us his take on the strike.
