EU, UN team up to empower women

Talking Europe brings you a special edition from the European Development Days, featuring the head of UN Women and the EU Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development. They discuss their new joint programme, the Spotlight Initiative, which aims to eliminate violence against women and girls.

Bringing together the European Union, United Nations and other international and local stakeholders, Spotlight is part of a broader global drive to reduce gender inequality and achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
