Ex-Carrefour boss urged to give up €13 million retirement package

French supermarket giant Carrefour is facing criticism over pay - not for its employees but for its former CEO Georges Plassat. He stepped down in July 2017 and his €13 million retirement package was approved at a shareholders' meeting last Friday. The French government is calling on Plassat to give up his golden parachute as Carrefour employees are facing job cuts. Plus, what does wine aged in snow taste like?
