THE DEBATE

A live debate on the topic of the day, with four guests. From Monday to Thursday at 7.10 pm Paris time.

Children in cages: What drives Trump's family separation policy?

It's a land of immigrants whose leader seems to relish the outrage over his ever more radical border policy. Donald Trump tried to parlay the separation of migrant families and the keeping of small children in cages into broader immigration reform. Now, he appears to be relenting, with an executive order. Many wonder though if the internment of those kids over a recent six-week period was precisely aimed to spark fury. We ask our panel about allegations of deliberate cruelty against Hispanics.

Produced by Charles WENTE, Alessandro XENOS, Van MEGUERDITCHIAN.
