Rubbish piling up in France's illegal landfills

Mountains of trash are piling up in French villages, sullying the image of the countryside. In one town less than 40 kilometres outside Paris, rubbish covering the equivalent of seven football pitches continues to accumulate, leaving the town's inhabitants desperate for a solution. While illegal dumping in France is punishable by law, the legislation is rarely enforced. FRANCE 24's team reports.
