Brett Kavanaugh: US Supreme Court to take another rightward shift

Donald Trump has made his second nomination to the US Supreme Court: Brett Kavanaugh. He's an appellate judge, serving on the DC Circuit Court since 2006, and a former advisor to George W. Bush. Democrats worry Kavanaugh's conservative record may mean fresh challenges to abortion laws in the United States. We take a closer look.

Also this week, violence in Nicaragua continued as protests against President Daniel Ortega picked up pace. More than 250 people have now been killed. One incident drew particular attention: a group of priests became caught up in the clashes, trapped between rival demonstrators.

And as Florida braces itself for this year's hurricane season, we take a look at those families still trying to pick up the pieces after last year's devastating storms.
