Knife crime on the rise in London
The homicide rate has surged in the British capital this year. On average, one person is now killed every three days in London. Murder victims are getting younger and often come from underprivileged backgrounds. Knives are almost always the weapon of choice. The government estimates that 70,000 young people in the UK are now members of street gangs. Our team on the ground met with victims' families and others who are trying to stop the violence.
