Hot picks from Paris: Tips for a cultural summer

As temperatures rise in the French capital we head to the banks of the River Seine for a round-up of what to read, see and listen to this summer. Abigail Altman joins us from the American Library in Paris to take us through the titles that should be in your beach bag, while France 24's Richelle Harrison Plesse puts together the perfect playlist for days at the beach or nights on the dance floor.

Meanwhile, Deauville's coastline is the setting for the "Artistes en Normandie" exhibition, featuring lesser-known work from artists inspired by the region, and for those of us spending the summer in the city, we check out the shows on offer at the "Paris L’été" festival.
