Marie-Cécile Zinsou: 'Culture is not a luxury, it's a right'
Marie-Cécile Zinsou is a Franco-Beninese art historian and businesswoman. She set up her own foundation back in 2005 to promote arts and culture in Africa. It was thanks to her hard work and determination that the first contemporary art gallery opened its doors in Benin's largest city, Cotonou. Marie-Cécile Zinsou is also fighting for the restitution of artworks to Africa by the former colonial powers. She joined us for Perspective.
