Brewing storm: The politics of extreme weather

After heatwaves, monsoons and forest fires this summer, warming ocean temperatures have Hurricane Florence bearing down on the Carolinas and Typhoon Mangkhut soon to batter the Philippines. Extreme weather is no longer the exception. Local governments and the private sector look to do more. But it also means rethinking how we as citizens live our lives. Are governments all for going green just so long as it doesn't dent growth? Can we keep wanting more if the planet can't afford it?
