Former ECB head Trichet: 'We avoided another Great Depression in 2008'

Ten years ago, the financial world was rocked by the collapse of a Wall Street giant. Lehman Brothers' spectacular bankruptcy sparked a global market sell-off, and was seen by many as the first major causality of the financial crisis. It was an event watched around the world and, in particular, by the President of the European Central Bank at the time, Jean-Claude Trichet. He spoke to FRANCE 24 about how the collapse of Lehman Brothers unfolded, and the lessons learned since 2008.
