Music show: Sly Johnson, Parcels, plus Elvis Costello & The Imposters
Date created :
French singer, rapper and beatboxer Sly Johnson fuses hip-hop, funk and fresh beats on his new EP "Silvère Part 1", a collection of songs he says is more personal and introspective than any of his previous work. The musical triple threat speaks to Richelle Harrison Plesse about his upcoming album, "sounding sexy" in French and not just in English, plus his time in the popular 90s/early 2000s hip-hop collective Saïan Supa Crew.
We also take a listen to new sounds from Aussie disco-pop quintet Parcels, while legendary songsmith Elvis Costello reunites with his backing band The Imposters for their first new record in 10 years.
