The Joubran Trio: 'We hope one day to be free of our identity'

As they release their latest album "The Long March", Palestinian brothers Samir, Wissam and Adnan join us in the studio to discuss the musical path they've carved out since deciding to become the fourth generation of their family to take up the Oud. The trio collaborated with Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters for two of the tracks on their latest album, drawing inspiration from the words of late Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish.

They tell us about negotiating the fine line between composing music as an act of resistance, and the "political" label that Palestinian creative output inevitably attracts.
