Thierry Dusautoir: ‘I always thought about how to get out of rugby’

Thierry Dusautoir, the former rugby captain of France, sits down with Perspective to talk about his life after leaving the game, saying thoughts about how he would do that particularly cropped up during his team’s progress to the Rubgy World Cup final in 2011. Since then, Dusautoir has abandoned the game altogether and has instead become a successful entrepreneur, with an import-export company as well as another venture which specialises in professional SMS text messaging.

The “Dark destroyer” says he enjoys his new life, saying he is particularly grateful to his mother for her inspiration, but agrees that his time as a professional athlete has helped him endure the difficulties he has faced as an entrepreneur.
