It's voting day in the midterm elections in the United States - a poll that takes place halfway through a president's mandate and is usually seen as a vote on his performance. This year's race could swing control of Congress back to the Democrats, making it a tough race as reds and blues slug it out to the bitter end. These elections are also seen as the first real chance to assess what Americans think of their controversial president Donald Trump.
