Same-sex parenting: Belgium's approach to medically assisted procreation

France's national ethics committee recently came out in favour of opening up medically assisted procreation to all women, including lesbian couples. As it stands, female French couples who want to start a family have to go abroad to benefit from artificial insemination. They often choose neighbouring Belgium, where the practice has been allowed since 2007. Our correspondents report.
