More than a month after Brett Kavanaugh's controversial confirmation to the US Supreme Court, one of its other nine members, Justice Stephen Breyer, sat down with FRANCE 24. A highly experienced judge, Breyer was appointed in 1994 by Bill Clinton but rejects the label of "liberal". Speaking on the sidelines of the Paris Peace Forum, he underlined the importance of ordinary citizens participating in public life, this amid deep political divisions in the US.
