‘PrEP’ and the fight against HIV: Medical milestone or tool to indulge in risky behavior?

In recent years there has been medical progress to combat AIDS and the spread of the HIV virus. Pre-exposure prophylaxis or “PrEP” reduces the risk of contracting HIV by more than 90 percent. Between 10 and 12,000 people are on the drug here in France. But the medical community and the public at large are split on whether “PrEP” is a medical milestone or a tool to indulge in risky behavior. Delano D'Souza and Jonathan Walsh report.
