Pushing animal rights up France's political agenda

Be it battery chickens, creatures killed for their fur, or badly treated livestock in abattoirs, we're sadly all familiar with cases of cruelty against animals. In Perspective, we were joined on set by Melvin Josse, France's first professional lobbyist for animal rights. He's also an expert in the repression of pro-animal activism across Europe, writing a thesis on that issue at the University of Leicester in the UK.
