If these walls could talk: Exploring the troubled history of a Parisian building

"When I walk around Paris and see a building, I always wonder what happened there, and ask myself who lived there." So says filmmaker Ruth Zylberman, who did exactly that. She picked a random building in the city's 10th district and looked into its past inhabitants, uncovering a picture of life in the city after the war for Jewish survivors of the Holocaust. The film has been praised as uncovering real treasures, and showing how what happened in the 1930s and 40s should never be repeated.
