French Twitter is in a flap over fakes

French Twitter is reeling after an overnight cull of fake accounts and bots—and the suspension of many legitimate users, too. Some are chalking it up to censorship or a political conspiracy, but the move is actually part of a global crackdown by the social media giant on malicious activity.
