Back to square one? Trump-Kim summit ends with no agreement

The Hanoi summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korea's Kim Jong-un had started amidst great optimism. But it came to an abrupt end on Thursday morning. So what went wrong? Does this mean we're now back to square one? Was Trump right to walk away? And should the US president really be travelling 13,000 kilometres - in each direction - without all the necessary groundwork being laid beforehand?
