Dominik Paris won the men's World Cup in Kvitfjell on Saturday for his fourth victory of the season.

The Italian did not lead at any of the intermediate time checks, but surged across the lower part of the course to finish in 1 minute 45.74 seconds and edge Swiss skier Beat Feuz, the leader in the downhill standings, by 0.25sec and Austrian Matthias Mayer by 0.37sec.

Paris had already won the prestigious downhills at Bormio and Kitzbuehel as well as the super-G at Bormio in his native Dolomites. He also won the super-G at the World Championships in Are, Sweden.

The downhill world champion, Norwegian Kjetil Jansrud was only eighth, more than a second down.
