Chinese teen Wang Jianjiahe, the reigning Asian Games champion, won the women's 1,500-meter freestyle title Wednesday at the US Pro Swim Series meet in Des Moines, Iowa.

The 16-year-old swim star captured the opening event of the four-day meet while Danish Olympian Anton Ipsen took the night's only other title in the men's 1,500 free.

Wang won in 15mins 46.69secs with 33-year-old Chilean Kristel second in 16:17.92 and China's 17-year-old Li Bingjie third in 16:19.71.

Wang won the 400, 800 and 1,500 free titles and helped a 4x200 free relay triumph at last year's Asian Games.

She also won the 800 free world short course title last year in home water at Hangzhou, where she also took second in the 400 and swam the anchor leg on the championship 4x200 free relay.

Ipsen won the men's title in 15:05.39, edging American Jordan Wilimovsky by .05 of a second with US swimmer Zane Grothe third in 15:13.29.
