Macron's Great Debate: Government calls for tax cuts to appease protesters

French PM Edouard Philippe had the task this Monday of delivering the report on the "grand débat national" - France's Great National Debate. The three-month-long exercise, in which President Emmanuel Macron himself took part, found that most of all, the French are sick of the tax system. But will this Great Debate and its findings be enough to stop the weekly Yellow Vest protests?
