Newcastle (United Kingdom) (AFP) –
Liverpool must cope without Roberto Firmino if they are to keep their hopes of a first Premier League title in 29 years alive at Newcastle on Saturday.
The Brazilian striker missed last weekend's 5-0 thrashing of Huddersfield and only made a cameo role off the bench in a 3-0 Champions League semi-final, first leg defeat to Barcelona in midweek due to a minor tear in his groin.
However, Firmino, who has scored 16 goals this season, does not even make the bench at St. James' Park as Jurgen Klopp makes four changes to the side beaten in the Camp Nou on Wednesday.
Dejan Lovren, Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Daniel Sturridge come in at the expense of Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, Naby Keita and James Milner.
Victory will take Liverpool back two points ahead of Manchester City at the top of the table.
However, should they lose, City could retain their title by beating Leicester at home on Monday.
