UN demands Britain cede Chagos Islands back to Mauritius

The UN General Assembly has voted overwhelmingly to back African demands that Britain cede the Chagos Islands to Mauritius. Also, fighting corruption and reviving South Africa's economy are among the main challenges facing President Cyril Ramaphosa, after he was reelected by parliament. And one of Africa's most famous authors, Kenyan Binyavanga Wainaina, has died aged 48. The renowned gay rights activist was named in 2014 as one of Time Magazine's 100 most influential people.
