The world this week

Tiananmen anniversary, Sudan's crackdown and FIFA Women's World Cup kickoff (part 2)

This week also saw another anniversary: 30 years since the Tiananmen Square massacre in China. Yet commemorations took place in Hong Kong as the event remains widely unknown in mainland China. We continue with the crisis in Sudan. Will June 3 become Sudan's Tiananmen? At least 113 people were killed in Khartoum among those pressing for a transition to civilian rule. And les Bleues kick off the FIFA Women's World Cup at home at the Parc des Princes against South Korea.
