Three wounded in blast near Israeli settlement: army, medics

Jerusalem (AFP) –

An explosion near an Israeli settlement in the occupied West Bank wounded three people on Friday, medics said, and the Israeli army said initial reports indicated it was an attack.

"Initial report -- a report was received regarding a terror attack" near the Israeli settlement of Dolev, northwest of Ramallah, the military said in a statement.

"Three people appear to be injured at the scene."

Medics said an explosion near a spring had injured three people, including a 17-year-old in critical condition.

Two others, 46 and 20, were being evacuated to hospital by helicopter, the Magen David Adom rescue service said.

Israeli security forces were deployed in the area, AFP journalists reported.

Further details were not yet available on the incident.
