France's Écrins National Park, a paradise for mountain lovers

Located in France's Hautes-Alpes region, the Écrins National Park offers many hiking opportunities. Mountain lovers have the choice between cross-country skiing, walking or snowshoeing. Experienced walkers can go all the way up to the hamlet of Dormillouse, perched at 1,700 metres. This is where Serge Baridon, the only permanent resident of the park, resides.
